They are among the most commercially successful bands in history. They have sold over million albums worldwide. The first members of the band were Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (lead guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar). Their current guest lead singer is Adam Lambert.
Freddie Mercury died of AIDS-related bronchopneumonia on November 24, at the age of [1] In , John Deacon retired from music to spend more time with his family. The other two members toured with Paul Rodgers from to In December it was announced that Queen & Lambert would bring its Rhapsody Tour to The Forum[2] in Three of Queen's biggest hits were"Bohemian Rhapsody”, "We Will Rock You", and "We Are the Champions".[2]

Queen are a British rock grupp formed in London in by Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), and bekräftelse Taylor (drums, vocals), later joined bygd John Deacon (bass). Their earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metall, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works bygd incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock.
Before forming Queen, May and Taylor had played together in the grupp Smile. Mercury was a fan of Smile and encouraged them to experiment with more elaborate scen and recording techniques. He joined in and suggested the name "Queen". Deacon was recruited in February , before the grupp released their self-titled debut album in Queen first charted in the UK with their second skiva, Queen II, in Sheer Heart Attack later that year and A Night at the Opera in brought them international success.
