    I have had a bit of an obsession with Martha Stewart of late, so I figured this biography by one of Martha's friends would be a fun audiobook, if probably extremely skewed. And it was exactly that. It was a lot more interesting and readable than I expected it to be, but the writing wasn't great (full of cliched phrases like "a pinch of this, a dash of that", and the ubiquitous chapter title of "Martha and Me"). I also thought that the way he wrote about Martha and her daughter could be a little creepily obsessive, calling them "adorable" several times and constantly commenting on their beauty. I trust that the author is a good guy, but I don't think I'd be entirely comfortable with it if I were his wife.
