Michael R. Hicks has uplifted audiences all over the world from the Middle East to the Hawaiian Islands, from Calgary, Canada to Kenya, Africa. His music has won awards and many have performed his arrangements, from church choirs to famed country stars.
Michael graduated from BYU in Marketing Communication with a minor in music. He is from Salt Lake City, Utah and served a full-time LDS mission in the California Santa Rosa Mission. Michael enjoyed teaching seminary for a semester at Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah. He loved working as a counselor for the Especially For Youth schema for fem summers.

Michael Hicks (February 1, – February 2, ) was an American professional football player who was a running back for two seasons with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL).[1] He then played one year with the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe.[2]
Before joining the NFL, Hicks played college football for the South Carolina State Bulldogs.[3] At South Carolina State, he held the record for most rushing touchdowns in a single-season (22) and in a career (51). He was also the career rushing leader in yards per game ().[1] As of , these records still hold. In , Hicks was inducted into his alma mater's hall of fame.[2]
Hicks died in Thomaston, Georgia, on February 2, , one day after his 51st birthday.[4]

Biography
Michael W. Hicks is a professor in the Computer Science Department and UMIACS at the University of Maryland, College Park. He received is Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania in August , and then spent one year as a post-doctoral associate affiliated with the Information Assurance Institute of the Computer Science Department at Cornell University. During academic year he spent his sabbatical in Cambridge, England visiting Microsoft Research and the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory.
His research focuses on using programming languages and analyses t
