    Guy Brewer of Waynesboro, TN was born January 31, in Waynesboro, Tennessee,the son of the late Buchanan and Mamie McGee Brewer. He was united in marriage to Norma Clark on May 31, and she preceded him in death on April 29, Mr. Brewer was a retired plant operator for the City of Waynesboro and was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He was a United States Army veteran of WW II and had lived in Caribou, Maine at one Brewer departed this life on Sunday, February 27, at his home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 27 is survived by three sons, Gary Brewer of Mt.   • Guy John Brewer, 71, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, April 6, at his residence. He was born in Washington DC on February 12, , the son of the late Robert Paul Carr, and Rose Mary Pratt Carr who survives in Bridgeport.

     

    In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Terry Leigh Myers Brewer, whom he married on December 26, in Elkins, WV; four children, Dr. Jamie Leigh (Brewer) Miller of Fairmont, WV, Joshua Paul Brewer of Clarksburg, WV, Jessica Mae Brewer of Martinsburg, WV, and Theresa Lynn Carr of Charleston, WV; grandchildren, Logan, Luke and Lydia Miller of Fairmont, WV, and Joshua James “J.J.” and Kayleigh Brewer of Clarksburg, WV; son-in-law, Dr. Thomas (Bradley) Miller of Fairmont, WV, and daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann Leemasters Brewer of Clarksburg, WV.

     

    Mr. Brewer Attended Washington Irving High School in Clarksburg, WV, along with Fairmont State College and West Virginia University.

    Gay Robert Brewer Jr. (March 19, – August 31, ) was an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and won the Masters Tournament.

    Brewer turned professional in and made his first cut, at the Agua Caliente Open, tying for 12th. His first top as a pro came at the Philadelphia Daily News Open (tied for eighth), and his first top-five performance was at the Miller High Life Open in Milwaukee (tied for fifth). Playing on the PGA Tour in , he won the Hawaiian Open. At the Masters Tournament, he bogeyed the final hole to finish in a three-way tie for the lead after regulation play but ended up finishing third to Jack Nicklaus following an hole playoff. He came back to win the prestigious event the next year, scoring a one stroke victory over lifelong friend Bobby Nichols in the first live television broadcast of a golf tournament from the United States to Europe.
