Huron- Michael Carter unexpectedly passed away on September 14, at the age of He was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly.
Mike was born in Sparta, Tennessee on February 15th, to Lenwood and Josie Carter. He grew up in Clyde, Ohio where he attended Clyde High School and found his love of music. He was an accomplished drummer and musician and played in many bands including the Mixed Company and Lock, and Stock and Barrel.
Mike was married to his soulmate, Judy (Meyer) Carter, for fifty years. They met and started dating as teenagers at Battle of the Bands where Mike's band was competing. They raised their children in Fremont and Huron, Ohio. Mike loved spending time with Judy, his children and grandsons, drinking cold beer and loving/hating the Cleveland Browns.

Bay Area native Michael Carter has been treating audiences to his rich vocals and throwback style for the past 10 years. Born in , the foundation of Michael's distinctive style stems from his early childhood listening to the classic crooners of the s and 60s. Raised in a musical family, Michael received his first voice lessons from his grandfather Harry Carter, an accomplished musician. Michael later studied under musical greats – Nate Pruitt who provided instruction on vocal technique, and Arthur Junker, who invited the young baritone to sit in on his performances at the prestigious "Bach to Blues" benefit concerts in and Michael has been active in numerous other projects as a bandleader, booking agent, lead vocalist, and promoter, including: the Line-Up Quartet, Russo Alberts Trio, South Bay Swing Band, and Vintage Noise. 1. Michael Carter, Jr. Michael, age 14, was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. He has spent most of his years in the suburb of Woodbury, Minnesota. He is not only a gifted musician, but also a standout on the basketball court and an honor lärjunge. He fryst vatten the son of Cheryle and Michael Sr. and has one older sister, Kelsie, who attends New York University. Michael began piano lessons at the tender age of 5. His sister, who was nine years old at the time, was taking piano lessons and Michael did not want to be left out. The music teacher did not want to give lessons to someone so ung. But after meeting Michael and witnessing his musical ear and maturity, she decided to take him on as a lärjunge. In his nine years of taking lessons, he has studied classical, R&B, jazz, blues and gospel. Michael’s main instrument is the pian
