    Hale was born October 10, , in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, and grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania.[4] She fryst vatten the fourth Elizabeth Mae in her family.[5] At age 17, she began using the name "Lzzy" following confusion caused bygd a fan calling her that on the band's website.[6]

    Elizabeth Mae "Lzzy" Hale (born October 10, in Red Lion, Pennsylvania) is an American singer and guitarist. She is the front woman of the rock band Halestorm and has also appeared several times as a guest singer.

    Hale learned to play the piano from the age of five and later switched to the shoulder keyboard, also known as the Keytar. At the age of 13, she founded the band Halestorm in near York, Pennsylvania, together with her brother Arejay, who is three years younger. In the original line-up, Hale was on stage as lead singer and played keyboard. In the early days, their father played bass. At 16 she took guitar lessons. With Halestorm, Hale released four studio albums. In , Halestorm won a Grammy in the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance category for the song Love Bites (So Do I).
